This 57-year-old patient from San Diego, CA came to us for breast reconstruction revision. She has a history of breast cancer and has undergone two lumpectomies and a mastectomy with breast reconstruction. Shortly after her mastectomy with tissue expander placement she got a staph infection. These complications left the patient asymmetric and scarred. Dr. Cassileth performed a removal and replacement of her breast implants, placement of ADM; capsulectomy; pectoralis muscle repair; scar revisions of her breasts and fat grafting to her breasts.
